Double-click the iCal calendar file that you exported when you backed up your calendar. If iCal is not running, it will automatically launch. Once launched, you will see a dialog that asks you to select a destination for this calendar. You can choose to merge this calendar into an existing calendar on the computer or create a new calendar.

By default, iCal creates two calendars on first launch, Home and Work.
