In this video, Salman Khan talks about why he created the remarkable Khan Academy, a series of educational videos offering complete curricula in math and other subjects.

He shows the power of interactive exercises, and calls for teachers to consider flipping the traditional classroom script -- give students video lectures to watch at home, and do "homework" in the classroom with the teacher available to help. iTunesU - iTunesU contains both Podcasts and Vodcasts (video podcasts) that are free and easily downloaded to a laptop, iPod Touch,or iPhone. There are lectures, language lessons, videos, audiobooks etc.

More than 800 universities have active iTunes U sites. There is also a separate section for K-12 education.
